A Little About
AHHS Summer Reading.

Reading is critical to being successful in school and in life. Research shows that even good readers lose several lexile (reading level) points over the summer if they do not keep their skills sharp.  To assure that our Pre-AP and AP students do not lose momentum, we are excited to announce the requirement of a summer reading assignment for every student taking a Pre-AP or AP English class in the fall.  Please find the assignment for your appropriate grade level and read the directions carefully. All of the books are easily obtainable in bookstores and on Amazon, and pdf versions of the book are available here on the site so that the books can be read online. They are all GREAT books that we know you will enjoy.  The assignments will be due the first week of school in August.  Have a great summer and happy reading!
